About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the analysis and assessment of relevant public policy issues and their implications to SHEIN's business interests in Mexico. He/she will report into SHEIN's Director for Government Relations in Mexico, and will work with other relevant SHEIN teams to manage and develop the company's public policy positions for Mexico.In addition, the successful candidate will support the Director for Government Relations in Mexico to develop and drive stakeholder engagement strategies, as well as execute and manage policy engagements for SHEIN in Mexico, fostering strategic partnerships with keystakeholders and translating policy engagements into tangible commercial outcomes in Mexico. He/she will also support in the planning, organization and management of SHEIN'svarious stakeholder engagement platforms in Mexico, with the aim of expanding and enhancing our collaborations with key stakeholders from various backgrounds such as political/regulatory stakeholders, civil society, industry associations and other public arenas. In this role, the candidate must be able to work effectively with various teams globally, such as the government and public relations teams across SHEIN's key global markets, and SHEIN's ESG, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Supply Chain teams to represent and advocate the company's positions on a multitude of policy issues.The successful candidate should possess a deep interest and ability to understand how politics, business, finance, sustainability, technology and innovation, as well as international relations are interconnected. These are pertinent issues that have an impact on our projects and initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Director of Government Relations in Mexico on the following:Track, monitor and provide assessment of strategic/policy issues and their implications on SHEIN's commercial interests in MexicoDevelop and provide recommendations to SHEIN's senior management and relevant business units concerning political, policy and regulatory issuesIdentify and map key policy stakeholders (including political office holders, government officials, regulators, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and industry associations) Develop and drive engagement strategies to reach out and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen SHEIN's network of partners Formulate and execute advocacy plans to translate policy engagements into tangible commercial outcomes to secure SHEIN's market access and expansion efforts Develop and drive strategic communications plans and partnerships in support of company's overall policy positioning and profiling Organise and manage meetings with external parties, including the preparation of briefing notes/presentations for senior management's referencePlan, organise and manage networking platforms Required Qualifications and Experience Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics or related field At least 6 years of working experience in government relations or public policyExperience in policy research, development, analysis, and advocacy Excellent policy and regulatory network in Mexico, with a demonstrated ability to effectively and comfortably interact at the highest corporate/political levels to undertake advocacy workTrack record of effectively solving complex issues and delivering strong results while maintaining the highest standardsKeen interest to translate policy/regulatory engagements into tangible commercial outcomesStrong experience within a government agency with economic/finance/tax policy-making function would be preferredStrong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills Strong proficiency in English and Spanish Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
