- Responsibilities
- Monitoring and implementation of the General Administrative Provisions established by the Guidelines for the prevention and comprehensive control of methane emissions from the Hydrocarbons Sector for the Natural Gas transportation systems of the BU MX and its projects, as well as the SEMARNAT/ASEA regulation.
- Guide the development of solutions to forecast and track emissions for decarbonization performance management, ensure operations are within regulatory permitted limits, enhanced accuracy, and timeliness of data for internal and external reporting (voluntary, compliance)
- Support the development and implementation of tools, processes, and systems, including data lake and emission quantification systems, to manage operational emissions data consistent with regulatory and corporate standards.
- Coordinate system testing and validation activities with air compliance and other teams
- Provide data analytics at detailed and summary levels
- Develop and maintain relationships with project, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and aligned approach within the data management systems
- Manage the communication of complex, technical information to leadership as well as to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in, and support operational teams with, assurance and verification of emissions-related data
- Lead the development of tools and systems to collect Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions data in a consistent and reliable manner across various business units for corporate reporting.
- Support implementation of digital projects (ML/AI) providing technical and operational guidance on development of ontology various data types and systems. (ie. SCADA, Hydraulic Modelling, Asset Management Systems, ERP, Financial systems etc )
- Qualifications:

- Demonstrated commitment in dealing with Health, Safety and Environment concerns.
- Experience in natural gas and oil projects management is an asset.
- Experience in leading and coordinating efforts of a small/medium and multidisciplinary teams to achieve a common goal.
- Experience conflict resolution, negotiation abilities and leadership skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement - leverage corporate business practices and foster innovative business solutions.
- Previous experience and familiarity with air and GHG emissions data management systems such as Essentials, Enablon, Intelex, Emission Manager
- Previous experience with GHG emission quantification
- Technical knowledge of compression/meter stations and associated emissions
- Demonstrated analytical and diagnostic skills
- Experience with cross-functional project implementation
- Previous experience and familiarity with federal / provincial Environmental Regulations
- Previous experience supporting fugitive & vented emission reduction projects / programs- Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, environment, or related disciplines
- 10+ years of related industry experience
- Proven experience in engineering within pipelines and facilities
- Excellent computer skills - experience with MS Project, PowerPoint, Power BI and other Microsoft software packages
- Excellent and proven communication skills in English and Spanish.
