**Position Summary**
Position is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for the acquisition of goods that maximize company profitability and ensure a competitive advantage across company expenditures through strategic sourcing initiatives; also supports the supplier development activities across the Motion Systems Group.
**Responsibilities**
- Organization of workshops with suppliers and coordination of PCI input with R&D
- Support New Product Introduction projects, ensuring critical dimensions and attributes are identified, agreed and implemented with suppliers to ensure capable process and components/assemblies
- Support as necessary across the supply chain function on commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Participation in Cross-Divisional "Mini Councils" & world-wide councils in support of supply chain across the Motion Systems Group
- Lead supplier Request for Change process across the Motion Systems Group to promote cost reduction
- Market research activities for existing and alternative suppliers
- Support location Procurement Managers in Investigating new regions for sourcing and initiate Best Cost Country sourcing activities
- Support inventory control in commodity management for new global product offerings.
- Utilizes strategic sourcing methodology to develop category strategies and source vendor partnerships.
- Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to strike agreements that meet Method's performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
- Develop and implement supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and evaluation criteria to assess supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with procurement and quality assurance teams to ensure supplier compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Expertise in managing difficult/sensitive negotiations and conversations with suppliers.

- Advanced Degree Preferred
- Fluent English for business conversations.
- Experience + 5 years in the same level
