.**_Job Summary_**- The Global Trade Management (GTM) Center of Excellence (CoE) FTA Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the work of the Free-Trade Agreement (FTA) CoE team. This position supervises a team of FTA specialists. The GTM CoE Team Leader reports to the CoE Manager.- The major roles of the GTM CoE FTA Team Leader are personnel management, productivity and report management, exception management. Ensure effective communication with GTM CoE Country Manager, CoE Manager, GTM Regional Managers, and US and MX site leaders to coordinate and focus efforts to avoid any compliance risk and make sure cost avoidance and duty savings are reflected in the regular KPI's performed by the FTA analysts.- This position oversees free-trade agreements (e.G., USMCA, MX-Colombia, US-SG) most of them, USMCA (US, MX & CA) for all sectors (Electrical, Aerospace, Vehicle) as well as Post Entry activities such as duty refunds.- This position requires a professional with good working knowledge and experience in U.S. Foreign Trade Zones, Import & Export Compliance (U.S. manly), and a passion for import/export compliance and customer service.- This position will ensure that import and/or export trade operations operate smoothly and are following customs regulations, as well as maintain thorough and current knowledge of international trade laws and regulations applicable to the activities of the various business units. The GTM CoE FTA Team leader also must promote productive relationships among team members.**_Job Responsibilities_**- Developing appropriate trade metrics and KPI's on regular basis for Duty Recovery and Compensation, Duty Avoidance, Certificates of Origin Solicitation, Certificates of Origin Solicitation per Business Unit, Finish goods Qualification per Trade Agreement, Finish goods Qualification per Business Unit.- Assist with implementing, updating, maintaining, and monitoring trade compliance, internal procedures, flowcharts and work instructions supported by technology which include mainly USMCA northbound and southbound qualifications/solicitations and other special projects to ensure that all Eaton sectors are properly claiming preferential treatment in all available Special Trade Programs to maximize opportunities, and minimized risks. Partnering with other Customs brokers to ensure highest compliance expectations and proper qualification processes follow-up.- Managing mainly USMCA solicitation and qualification.- Assist to manage multiple projects as assigned for a variety of trade compliance topics, including, but not limited to monitoring Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers and Work with cross-functional teams to support trade management projects. Close communication with the CLF Team Leader.- Manage duty refund or duty drawback projects.- Conduct internal audits to make sure processes and work instructions are follow up by the qualification analysts and. Follow up of findings to minimize compliance risks
