As a **Senior Electronics Engineer **you will be responsible to develop automotive electronics, such as In-Vehicle Infotainment, driver displays, autonomous driving hardware, or interior monitoring. Also work closely with a global team with expertise in key areas, will be adept at quickly learning new skills in this area and can effectively communicate technical topics to engineering management and engineers skilled in this field. She or he will work with the sales team to convey FCE technical expertise to customers, will lead product design reviews, mentor junior engineers in these areas and will be involved in developing product roadmaps.
As expert, this person possesses a rare skill in an Expertise in a Technical Domain and is able to demonstrate deep knowledge and relevant experience in a core specific domain and show technical leadership in this field.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working in a global cross functional team with product, sales, and engineering members.
- Work with global team members to modify / create technical presentations to internal teams and customers.
- Propose, design, and develop autonomously adaptions to global platforms needed for NA market.
- Review technical portions of RFI's and RFQ's and provide effort estimates to add features and functionality to existing products or create new products.
- Lead technical portions of presentations to customers and interfaces with the customer on technical issues
- Lead development of demonstration properties as proof of concept (PoC) and/or for customer presentations.
- Lead and mentor engineers involved in local product development.
- Communicate and work with software design team to ensure optimized product performance.
- Communicate electrical hardware design to mechanical design team to ensure designs are optimized for thermal performance, EMC, and other environmental exposure.

Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering discipline, or related field. (Master's Degree is preferred)
- Consistent participation in on-going career development education, either through advanced degree programs or certification programs.
- 8 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in electronics/software.
- 5 years of experience as Expert
- 5 years' experience programming with C or C++ or
- 5+ years' experience in design of automotive electronics.
- Experience with schematic capture tools.
- Familiarity with PCB layout tools, and experience reviewing board layouts.
Skills and competencies
- Proficient understanding of embedded device programming
- Ability to decompose business requirements into functional specifications, design documentation, and use cases, creation of support documentation.
- Familiarity with chipset offerings from top suppliers in this field.
- Experience working with software teams to optimize hardware architecture for both cost and performance.
- Understanding of thermal environment and design optimization.
- Familiar with a multitude of automotive operating systems.
- Familiar with state-of-the-art techniques for the development of embedded systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- English required; customer's language strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast - paced environment
