Hardware Solutions Cad Designer

The Hardware CAD Designer will be responsible for:- Reviewing, approving and providing feedback on schematics, PCB placements and layout requirements.- Implementing PCB layout according to the layout consideration document (LCD).- Responsible for the creation of the PCB layout files, such as ODB++, Geber (GRB) and fabrication drawing and layer stack-up information per Board Solutions documentation standards.- Release of the PCB design files in NXP's Product Data Management database (Aras Innovator).- Utilizing the NXP Component Library (NCL) to reuse design methodologies and leverage exiting designs and components for future projects and collaborate with CAD Library team to implement NCL improvements.- Working proactively with external PCB fabrication shops to optimize cost, quality, on time delivery and ensure fabrication requirements of a project.- Conducting fabrication readiness review and ensure NPI process adherence for all CAD activities.- Providing training to BU designers in tools and use of NCL library.- Improving core competency in layout practices and CAD tools and technologies.- Participating in peer reviews of CAD library and PCB layouts to improve design process across the Hardware Solutions Group.- Engaging with IC packaging team to optimize package pinouts for performance, routability, and cost.
