Job Description As an HCL Commerce Developer/Level 2 Support Specialist at Publicis Sapient you will make a significant impact by ensuring the seamless operation of e-commerce platforms for our clients. Development and support for enterprise-grade e-commerce websites (HCL Commerce/IBM WebSphere Commerce) using Java, JavaScript, SQL and APIs REST. Lead development efforts to customize core HCL Commerce subsystems (catalog, search, order, promotions, payments) across all application layers based on client requirements. Design, develop, test, and integrate B2C e-commerce web applications to ensure top-notch performance and user experience. Work on REST APIs and integrate them with enterprise services to provide robust and scalable solutions. Thrive in an Agile environment, collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Utilize your understanding of front-end website architecture, user interactions, and back-end applications to create responsive and functional web applications. Create and manage servers and databases, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. Document technical solutions clearly and troubleshoot issues to perform root cause analysis and remediate effectively. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Lead the migration of legacy applications to modern container-based microservice architectures. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience with HCL Commerce V9.0 and V9.1 application development. 5+ years of hands-on experience leading development efforts to customize core HCL Commerce subsystems such as catalog, search, order, promotions, and payments across all application layers based on client customer requirements. Strong experience with design, development, testing, and integration of B2C e-commerce web applications. Previous experience designing and developing REST APIs and integrating with enterprise services. Experience creating servers and databases for functionality. Experience troubleshooting technical issues, performing root cause analysis and taking appropriate action to remediate issues. Experience collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must be able to document and demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, code comments, etc. Experience in the migration of legacy applications to modern container-based microservice architectures. Strong organizational and project management capabilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Proficient in fundamental front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiar with frameworks such as AngularJS, React, and Ember. Skilled in server-side languages like Java, Python or .NET. Familiar with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB. Excellent verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail to deliver precise solutions. Additional Information Requirements: This position requires the availability for frequent travel with expenses fully covered by the company to the client's offices in Culiacán, Mexico, as dictated by business needs, 10 days a month.
