Who are we looking for?
We are looking for our next Head Coach to join our flag ship store in Mexico City. Our connection with Mexico City´s consumers will owe its success to the leadership of this position, with a total focus on elevating the brand through achieving the best consumer experience and operational excellence. They will be an independent business owner able to manage the business, implement and execute strategies as a team to deliver tactical results, show their best face to the consumer, and grow the store into a key cornerstone of the local marketplace.
What will you work on?
On any given day, you will create elevated customer connections and in-store experiences, create talent planning and team development strategies, oversee store operations and top business execution, develop visual story-telling and merchandise flow, make data-driven decisions & analyze business trends to take the right actions.
Business
- Accountable for meeting short
- and long-term targets that impact the store.
- Oversees sustainable and profitable growth of the Stores business by clearly communicating the business' strategic priorities to the team and support them through execution
- Manages the P&L process and accountability
- Coach team on merchandise flow from door to floor
- Ensure all SLT and athletes understand & maintain visual merchandising standards of entire store
- Accountable to store's shipment processing in a timely manner, recovery, replenishment, and LP process completion
Consumer Experience
- Manages & oversees the store's consumer experiences through deep customer connections, Nike selling programs, initiatives, and membership acquisition
- Drives and delivers in-store experiences, key selling programs including O2O, bra fittings, etc.
- Personally demonstrates & provides coaching to total store on selling behaviors, consumer connection, & membership growth & acquisition
- Drives community engagement by partnering externally with groups that resonate with the customer base of the store location
Team
- Responsible for performance management, pay, and resourcing decisions for subordinate managers and associates, acts as the HR Compliance champion: HR communications and enterprise cyclical HR processes, & creating a culture of team commitment, coaching, and feedback
- Prioritizes team development, functional training, and retention to "win the customer" long-term at Nike
- Driver of the total talent life-cycle for the entire store location: recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, 4-wall succession-planning, rewards, recognition, culture, & engagement, culture of belonging
Who will you work with?
You'll be the point person for the Nike Mexico City store and report to Retail Senior Manager. On the daily you will be supporting a large and diverse team of Nike people in store and from cross functional areas from head quarters with variety of management styles, as well as managing outside suppliers and vendors. People appreciate your ability to be clear on your communication and to be resourceful in the face of ambiguity and to find solutions on your own, but always respecting Nike's policies and guidelines
What you bring to Nike
- Bachelor's degree required in the relevant or a related field, or any acceptable combination of education. Thorough understanding of retail operations
- 5+ years experience in mid-large size stores (+50 employees)
- Strong communication skills. Ability to speak and write fluently in English
- Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
