**About the Role**

The Head of Automation and Analytics role is an outstanding opportunity to lead this vertical within the Latam Delivery business. Reporting to the Head of Central Operations, you will be responsible for leading the team, roadmap, tools and processes to help ensure that regional automation and analytical needs are met.
Your team will partner with stakeholders to generate actionable data insights and solutions from Uber's large datasets and processes. You will be able to touch every aspect of the product, whether it's user behavior for consumers, earners, and merchants or the infrastructure our Ops teams use to run the business as usual processes to delight our customers in every single trip.
**What You'll Do**

- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 6 technical experts
- Set strategic priorities, translate them into concrete projects & work closely with teams across the region to deliver on execution at its highest potential
- Support building tools and ad-hoc dashboards, analyzing experiments and rolling out projects
- Proactively build an automation roadmap aimed at generating insights and actionable results that will help drive operational and strategic decisions across the business
- Manage and prioritize different inbound requests and asks from relevant partners to ensure that your team is working on the projects that are the most impactful and highest priority for the business
- Ensure that we are using the data available to us in the most valuable way
- Effectively navigate a matrixed environment with local operations, product, strategy, research & design, finance and other senior leadership
**Basic Qualifications**

- Minimum of 10 years of deep, hands-on management of functions that included combinations of the following: coding, data science, business analytics, business intelligence, operations
- Strong people management, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Strong eye for business to easily navigate among different business priorities and translate them into practical and valuable projects.
- Proven coding and analytical ability: Evidence of building models to automate, predict, or facilitate decisions; ability to draw key insights from analysis; knowledge of SQL; experience with other statistical languages, and basic programming skills is highly regarded
