As the Head of Costing Americas you will lead the delivery of our costing products and services across the American market. You will be responsible for integrating the Mexican team into the Costing & Insights organization, building and ramping up a new team of cost engineers in Mexico, and setting achievable but ambitious targets. Additionally, you will implement guidelines, identify and address any issues employees may have, and monitor and report on activities.
- Drive the Growth:_
- Contribute to product presales and business development for costing in the American market.
- Identify key stakeholders at customer sites.
- Analyse sales, customer usage, market trends, competition, and the overall environment in your relevant market.
- Contribute with your observations & insights to the development & improvement of costing-related products and services, including software tools.
- Delivery:_
- Build a strong team of skilled Cost Engineers.
- Organize the hiring process in support of the HR team.
- Lead the ramp-up of the costing team through training, guidance & mentoring.
- Manage the daily operations of the Mexican team, addressing day-to-day issues and ensuring team members have the necessary support.
- Oversee American projects and programs, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery (QCD).
- Contribute to Global delivery with your high performant team.
- Monitor team performance, ensuring high-quality and high-efficiency delivery, and propose necessary adjustments.
- Customer Interaction:_
- Interact with customers in the Americas to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Drive awareness of costing activities by engaging in relevant fairs, conferences, webinars, or any means that can create further business growth.
- Internal Collaboration:_
- Interact with Global Costing & Insights leaders to ensure smooth collaboration & efficient integration.
- Contribute to a globally successful strategy by aligning with global goals and initiatives.
**Requirements**:
**Professional Background**
- Graduate from an engineering school or equivalent with a master's degree in mechanics, electronics, applied physics, automation, systems engineering, or manufacturing/production.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Automotive Cost / Value Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Management

- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Expertise in Automotive cost engineering
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Good communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Understanding of automotive product operation (system, subsystem, component, function, etc.).

- Fluent in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level).
