Purposeof the JobThe Head Internal controls & compliance Officer is responsible to ensure strong internal control environmentthrough improvement of current policies and procedures, identify and develop additional internal controls requiredand antifraud and money laundryprevention and detection. In addition, this position will be theCompliance officerwith the duty to work with managementand staff to identify and manage regulatoryand businessrisks, identify andhandle compliance matters that arise following corporateguidance and recommendations and ensuring theimplementation and adherence to the improvementsidentified as part of the continues improvementcycle of thefunction.Their objective is to ensure that an organization has internal controls that adequatelymeasure andmanage the risks it faces.This positionprovidesan internal service that effectively supports business areas in their duty to comply withrelevant laws and regulations,ensure internal controls and antifraudprocedures, as well as follow up on anycompliance topic.KeyDataThe position holder is a critical thinker with keen focus on improving the organizations' s internal controlenvironment.One of thekey responsibilitiesof the position holderis to transforminternal controls andcompliancefrom a burden to a benefit. ACulture of Compliance must be an integral part of the organization's ethos and it is therole of the compliance officer to implement the elements of compliance that must be evident throughout theorganization.By ensuring proper implementation of those compliance elements, a proper compliance culture can produceefficiencies, maintain consistency, improve reliability and assurance, and result in greater stakeholder confidenceand business continuity.**Requirements**:7+ years of experienceevaluating and improving internal controls and managingcompliancetopics.Knowledge of business continuity management/risk management.Good English proficiencyStrong analytical skills, including the ability to identify,assess and address risk, materiality and interdependenciesand translate into impact analysis to generate recommendations for improvementStrong communication skills, to present to present risks and compliance issues to the different levels of theorganizationwith the right level of detail.Adaptable to working in a fast paced, everchanging environment.Striving for continuous improvement and optimization.Constantly report to management on the organization's compliance with laws and regulations.Experience in creating management information reports for the executive team and the BoardCollaborative and team orientedefficient and commercial wayFlexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing prioritiesStrongplanning and organization skills
