.**Responsibilities**:Has sufficient technical overview knowledge and practical experience to give leadership to multi-specialist consultancy projects. Takes responsibility for the quality and appropriateness of their collective recommendations.Rapidly wins respect from both clients/users and professional colleagues and develops a reputation for sound judgement and effectiveness in a variety of organisational cultures.Commands respect for excellence and is considered an expert within areas of specific knowledge. Continually maintains own knowledge at the highest level.Provides mentoring to client staff and to consultant colleagues, transferring skills and expertise.Takes responsibility for the identification, proposal, and winning of further business for own consulting practice or organisation, including putting in place agreements/contracts and managing completion and disengagementTakes an active role in the development of other staff.Initiates strategic work packages and aligns these with the skills and abilities of senior staff teams. Supports senior staff in the delivery of high impact work packages. Delegates work to individuals and teams, taking full account of skills and capabilities. Influences senior staff teams and is sensitive towards team dynamics.Conducts formal appraisals of the performance of senior staff. Facilitates a dialogue with senior staff about expectations, progress, performance and development needs. Leads on formal processes such as compensation negotiations, grievance procedures, and disciplinary procedures.Facilitates effective working relationships within and between senior staff. Motivates, engages with, influences and empowers senior staff. Acts as a role model for senior staff and staff at all levels across the organisation, setting a high standard, acting professionally at all times and working to the highest levels of conduct and ethics.Mentors and influences senior individuals in consideration of their career opportunities and contribution to the organisation talent pool. Advises on their career paths, and encourages pro-active development of skills and capabilities.Leads the organisation during times of change, aligning change programmes with the skills and capabilities of key senior staff. Support senior staff, through difficult and challenging change programmes.Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects, directing and counselling project team members, and advising clients/users as necessary on all phases.Liaises with other managers within the IS and IT functions and within the business; manages expectations ofall project stakeholders.Defines and makes recommendations on the project management framework for own projects, including creation and composition of the steering group or project board, identification of project sponsor and stakeholders
