.The Head of Safety and Hygiene is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and hygiene standards within the plant. This role involves managing and coordinating all safety and environmental programs to prevent accidents, environmental incidents, and occupational diseases, while ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and national laws.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving the implementation of safety, health, and environmental programs across the plant.Reporting safety issues to management and contractors and working on resolving them.Participating in investigations of incidents or accidents and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Monitoring safety performance through the analysis of incident trends and ensuring continuous improvement.Organizing safety campaigns and awareness initiatives to cultivate a strong safety culture.Ensuring compliance with legal obligations related to safety, health, and environmental issues.Regularly reviewing and updating safety policies and procedures.Collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain a safe work environment.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).At least 5 years of experience in managing safety, health, and environmental programs in an industrial setting.In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental standards such as ISO 14000, OHSAS 18001, and GMP.Experience with safety risk assessments and developing and conducting safety training programs.Strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams and influence a safety-first culture.Proven ability to manage and ensure compliance with both local and international regulations.Fluent in English (preferably).Work ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience in the field of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proven track record of implementing safety, health, and environmental policies and leading safety initiatives.Experience in working with local and national regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.Experience in leading and managing teams or training employees on safety protocols and environmental best practices.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of ISO 14000 (Environmental Management), OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety Management), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).Experience with Integrated Management Systems for quality, safety, and environmental control.Ability to analyze trends in incidents, injuries, and diseases to formulate action plans.Proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement.Leadership and team-building skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and work collaboratively.Ability to develop and implement training programs.Fluent in English (preferably).BenefitsCompetitive salary with performance-based incentives
