.As a Health and Benefits Associate you will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, financing, and ongoing management of the full spectrum of health and benefit programs for US-based self-insured employers. You will analyze client health data, assist with underwriting, claim projections, reserving, risk analysis, and plan design modeling. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your health and benefits business acumen as well as your financial, project management and client communication skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and development of actuarial/analytic tools. Projects you lead will leverage your financial and analytical skills as well as your understanding of US health benefits.This role is going to materially contribute to core health and benefits projects involving the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits for clients.**Responsibilities**:- Interacting with Senior Actuaries, Consultants, and Financial Analysts on the US Health & Benefits team.- Performs pricing, modeling, risk analysis, creation of benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies, drafting actuarial communications and slide decks to be presented at client meeting.- Conducting benchmarking studies and other research; provide value added analyses and summaries.- Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services, and contracts.- Contribute to the development of new actuarial/analytic intellectual capital.**Qualifications****Must Have**:- **2-4** years' experience with work in a financial services setting (i.E., insurance brokerage, insurance carrier or other related environments)- Strong English & Spanish communication skills (written and spoken).- Strong mathematical/financial foundation.- Very strong Excel.- Xlookup, Sumifs, Sumproduct, Index/Match, Complex If statements.- Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.**Nice To Have**:- Experience working directly with US colleagues.- Actuarial Designation (or exams passed).- Experience as an underwriter (medical preferred, though dental/vision/rx etc could work)- Work at US Insurer (or better yet healthcare consulting firm).- Health analytics / Data analytics (SQL etc not needed in job, but indicates a good experience).- Experience with financial model creation (ideally in Excel).- Experience creating client-facing PPT decks, dashboards, etc.- Proven history of handling multiple concurrent deliverables, time management
