.**About the job**RHI Magnesita has an amazing opportunity for Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator in Ramos Arizpe, MX!The HS&E Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the facility complies with all Health Safety and Environmental regulations. This dynamic HS&E Coordinator will partner with all areas of our organization to develop effective and progressive safety solutions to drive a culture of safety excellence and performance improvement, with sustainable change.This position will report to the Head of Plants Mexico. The HS&E Coordinator will travel both domestically and internationally with about 10% travel time.**The HS&E Coordinator tasks include**:- Serves as the champion of safe behaviors, safe manufacturing processes and safety process improvements, working directly with the management team to drive hazard awareness and injury prevention.- Reviews, implements, and provides overall guidance for implementation of company-wide safety programs such as behavior-based safety programs, non-routine task evaluations, risk assessments, and general corporate safety policies and programs.- Provides proactive insight and guidance when reviewing engineering controls/design changes to minimize safety and occupational hazards (e.G., machine guarding, ergonomics).- Conduct post-accident investigations to determine the root cause and develop effective and timely action plans.- Leads, mentors, empowers, and guides a local team of health and safety personnel to develop standard safe work instructions, conduct follow up work related to safety incidents, near misses, and safety improvement suggestions from employees, developing out of the box solutions for more complex safety challenges when needed.- Ensures that all regulatory and internal environmental reporting and documentation requirements are satisfied while maintaining responsibility for the analysis and investigation of all environmental incidents.- Gives timely response to internal and external customers.- Collaborate with Global and Regional resources to utilize outside expertise and pilot new programs.- Drive a high performing team culture
