The Accounting and Reporting Manager role is responsible for supporting accounting and reporting operations for South and Central America countries within our general finance controllership department located in Guadalajara. This ensures the company's Record-to-Report (R2R) process is executed properly per corporate policies and procedures, US GAAP, local GAAP frameworks, SOX compliance, and Service Partnership Agreements between process stakeholders.
Support local Finance Managers for SAMCAM countries, regional and corporate teams in the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements via effective execution of general accounting journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, financial statement transactional analysis, and EOM close deliverables via the supervisor and staff teams in Oracle and OneStream systems for accounting and reporting per corporate procedures. Partner and liaise with Internal and External Audit teams to ensure no findings are identified in any audit review. Establish, determine, and improve operational key metrics/goals to optimize team performance and ensure proper workload distribution. Work on continuous process improvement for process automation and efficiency, always ensuring compliance with key controls. Proper standardization must be in place per process design. Management skills and Record to Report (R2R) technical acumen are critical in this role to manage operational workload and the company's improvement efforts.
