In Latin America and the Caribbean, HIAS began operations in Honduras in 2022 and Guatemala in 2023, expanding its presence in the region to cover almost the entire migration route through offices in Aruba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guyana, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.Given the irregularity of increasing migration flows, the forcibly displaced population and their host community in Latin America and the Caribbean face significant risks, such as violence and abuse, human rights violations, and limited coverage of basic needs and access to services
