We need an English-fluent DevOps, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the architecture, design, implementation,
and ongoing maintenance of the Bank's CI/CD automation.
- Automate framework for infrastructure provisioning (laC, Server provisioning, application installs, etc).
- Own deployment problems and provide active coordination between various groups in resolving a specific issue.
- Provide assistance to DEV and Q groups to include participating in meeting, building out environments, troubleshooting deployment/configuration related problems.
- Provide guidance on security configurations and risk and compliance procedures (Identity and Secrets Management, Network Configuration, Data Protection, Segregation of Duties) to increase developers' productivity and increase deployment consistency.
- Advice on best practices for improving software release management and operational monitoring.
- Perform research and evaluate new technologies to meet the most advanced demands of our product teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fields Or comparable experience in Computer Information Systems,
and/or Engineering with the appropriate emphasis in Cloud and Cl/CD automation required.
- Strong 3TM party vendor management and engagement skills.
- 3+ years of experience in strategy, design, implementation, and support of laaS and PaaS environments, specifically those leveraging AWS storage, computer, and network technologies.
- 3+ years architecting and deploying multi-tiered applications.
- 2+ years in application security architecture.
- 2+ years in configuration management using Ansible or an equivalent.
- 3+ years with source code management tools such as GitHub, GitLab or equivalent.
- 3+ years with cloud orchestration tools like Cloud Formation or Terraform (with an emphasis on creating modular design architectures).
- 2+ years of scripting skills in Python, Ruby, PowerShell, etc.
- 3+ years with infrastructure monitoring toolsets (New Relic, Datadog, or equivalent).
- 2+ years with monitoring toolsets and logging solutions (CloudTrail, Splunk, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of C|/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Octopus or equivalent.
- Experience with AM Build toolings such as HashiCorp Packer, or equivalent.
- Experience with Artifact Repositories such as Artifactory, Nexus, or equivalent.
- Experience with SRE Concepts, Chaos Engineering, Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), and Mean Time to Restore (MTTR).
- 2+ Experience with Containerization, e.g, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with Release Management and Change Control workflow automation.
- Experience with security compliance and audits.
- Experience creating packages such as NuGet, Maven, etc.
- AWS Certified - Solutions Architect Professional is a plus.
- AWS Certified - DevOps Engineer Professional is a plus.
- Ability to build relationships between product and SRE team customers and DevOps.
- Ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated and able to set own goals and manage towards them.
- Ability to effectively mentor team members.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak, read and write in the English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
An understanding of higher mathematical concepts may be required for specific departments.
REASONING AND ANALYSIS ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certifications relevant to AWS and cloud technologies (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer) preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $5,000 - $7,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
