**Homeroom Teacher - Primary Years Program**

Monday to Friday 7:20 am -3:00 pm.
**Key Responsibilities**:
As a PYP Homeroom Teacher, you will play a critical role in shaping the academic and social development of our students. Your key responsibilities will include:
- **Planning and Delivery of Lessons**: Create and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) framework, ensuring differentiation to meet diverse learning needs.
- **Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring**: Regularly assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents, and adapting instruction as necessary to promote continuous growth.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a positive and respectful learning environment that encourages cooperation, collaboration, and active participation.
- **Holistic Development**: Foster students' social, emotional, and academic growth by promoting IB Learner Profile attributes and encouraging reflective thinking.
- **Parent Communication**: Regularly communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress, upcoming projects, and any concerns.
- **Collaboration with Colleagues**: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and the PYP Coordinator to ensure alignment with the school's mission and vision, as well as seamless integration of the PYP transdisciplinary themes.
- **Professional Development**: Stay current with best teaching practices through professional learning opportunities, contributing to the school's continuous improvement.
- **Extracurricular Involvement**: Support school events and activities beyond the classroom to build a vibrant school community.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Teaching certification
- Experience in teaching within the IB PYP framework is a strong advantage
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
