A Housekeeping Supervisor will support all Housekeeping and Laundry operations including the development of the Team Members within the group to provide an exceptional experience for our Guests.
What will I be doing? As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with overseeing housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also assist the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Manager and monitor standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Assist with overseeing Housekeeping/Laundry operationsOperate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well-managed schedulesSupport departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and proceduresEnsure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping and Laundry, as identified by the hotel brand standardsPerform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas and report any issues to the Executive HousekeeperImplement all Housekeeping policies and procedures including Health and Safety and securityMonitor the appearance, standards, and performance of all Housekeeping Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamworkEnsure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenitiesAssist the Executive Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliersEnsure ongoing training to support the Executive HousekeeperConduct communication meetingsManage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and proceduresSupport managing, training, and developing the teamDeputise in absence of the Executive HousekeeperAssist other departments wherever necessaryWhat are we looking for? Housekeeping/laundry experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a managerial or supervisory capacityA high school certificate or equivalentHigh level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilitiesProficiency, at a basic level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft OfficeExcellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skillsCommitted to delivering high levels of customer serviceAbility to work under pressureFlexibility to respond to a range of different work situationsKnowledge of Workplace, Health, Safety and Hygiene is essentialA passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest serviceIt would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
