Role Summary This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Competence Assurance Program (CAP).
The Competency Advisor will play a key role in verifying and monitoring the program's effectiveness, as well as providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Acting as a Competence Assessor, the advisor will ensure the quality and integrity of the program are maintained at all times.
Job Specific Responsibilities Collaborate with department heads to develop and refine competency frameworks for each position within the company.Serve as an assessor during the implementation process and provide CAP (Competency Assurance Program) training to new hires who act as Assessors and Verifiers.Identify training needs and provide opportunities for employee development through targeted programs.Ensure the implementation and administration of the competency program adhere to established procedures.Act as the focal point for the CAP within the company.Prepare and present reports on team performance and other relevant metrics.Follow up on monthly KPI reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.Support HR Operations with CAP program completion as per client's needs.Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and strategies.Maintain a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of each role to accurately assess and develop relevant competencies.Regularly assess supervisors' performance in these competency areas and provide feedback.Evaluate employees' skills and competencies to identify strengths and areas for development.Create and maintain competency models that align with organizational goals and job roles.Design and deliver training programs to enhance employees' competencies.Offer guidance on career paths and development opportunities based on competency assessments.Work closely with HR and management to integrate competency frameworks into recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.Track the effectiveness of competency development initiatives through regular assessments and feedback and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications Preferably a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or any related field, or previous experience in HR or Training.
Years of experience: 3-5 years of experience in HR or Training, with previous experience in the Offshore Drilling Industry.
Previous experience onboard is a plus.
Skills/abilities: Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken).Detail-oriented and highly organized.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Knowledge of offshore/onshore positions.Understanding basic drilling concepts.Familiarity with competency management software and HR tools.Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.Fontis Energy adheres to global and national standards for data protection and privacy.
