Job Description To lead the management of HSE function in JC Mexico Machining Center and support other sites in Mexico as assigned Duties & Responsibilities Support assigned site(s) in planning and execution of Safety Leading Indicator program activitiesPrepare annual HSE training plan and assign the trainings in LMS and provide progress review reports to the Site Manager.Develop safety audit checklists and collaborate with area managers and supervisors to conduct the audits.Support sites in planning and conducting the HSE drills as applicable.Support sites in implementation of John Crane / Smiths standards and perform gap assessments.Perform HSE data validation checks and help sites to identify environmental improvement projects in line with John Crane / Smiths KPIsTrain area managers and supervisors on risk assessment process and support them to lead in development of risk assessments their activities.Develop site specific PPE program including selection of PPE and training employees.Support in maintaining compliance to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System Certifications.Drive and manage internal and external HSE audits for assigned sites.Develop site specific compliance program including applicable permits, licenses & regulatory reporting and support site leadership team in driving compliance.Develop site specific HSE programs / procedures as applicable and conduct periodic reviews as required.Lead and collaborate with site leadership team in effective implementation of HSE programs / procedures.Develop site specific waste management plan and support sites in identification of reduction opportunities.Develop HSE training program and support sites in conducting trainings as per the training plan.Support sites in incident management including incident classification, investigation and creating action items in PRISM system.HSE Data ValidationVerification of corrective and preventive actionsConducting HSE internal audits & Managing External AuditsImplementing HSE programs such as Leading Indicator Program, Industrial Hygiene Monitoring, HSE Training Plan, SDS Management System, All legally required programs, etc.Conducting HSE reviews for new processes & projects.Develop strong working relationship with site leaders, area managers and supervisors.

The Individual Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.5 to 7 years HSE experience plus strong working knowledge of HSE regulations and requirements.Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 HSE management systems required.Demonstrated skills must include strong written and oral communication, resource management, problem solving, process improvement, conflict resolution and process development / deployment administration and change management.Strong collaboration and communication skill.Strong organizational and time management skillsStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal HSE regulationsFluent in English Language Additional Information According our mission, vision and Global Policies: Under no circumstances shall Staff be charged any fee or other costs in relation to their recruitment to work at Smiths, whether directly or indirectly.
