Specializing in formulating and executing the occupational HSE program. To ensure the HSE performances of our operations complies with local and Metso Outotec standards through proactive implementation of systems, education, and training of personnel. This function will work closely with location managers as well as provide advice, guidance, and support to employees.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks with NA HSE manager in the developing and implementing an HSE program within the country's business lines and units.Participate in customer discussions on HSE.Participate in developing a good safety culture.Work with the country's management to ensure that all our local and customer safety requirements are reached.Understand local HSE requirements and is able to offer solutions which produce the most appropriate result for the location and Metso Outotec.Help the local organizations understand current issues and needs and keep them abreast of current policies and programs. Maintain positive customer relations.Ensure full compliance with current country legislation affecting safety, health and the environment.Prepare reports that detail current HSE activity.Ability to achieve short/long term goals for Metso Outotec.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively express ideas in individual or group situations (including non-verbal communication) and fully able to adjust to the needs and characteristics of the audience.Investigate, report, follow up and maintain all necessary paperwork for all accidents/incidents.Design and implement appropriate preventative procedures to minimize risk to all employees.To ensure compliance with HSE standards and updating of procedures.Takes part in drawing up and updating policies and procedures, in some cases using the support of specialists.Conduct regular internal audits.Update the emergency plan and prepare regular safety exercises.Regularly evaluate contractors and suppliers from the point of view of safety, health and the environment.Analyses operational risks prior to work commencing.Analyses all accidents and incidents to work towards a zero accident target.Manage permits to work, non-compliances, statistics and safety indications.**INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERFACES**:Site Manager/ Contract Manager / Service ManagerBusiness Line ManagersCustomersContractors and ConsultantsAUTHORITYAuthorized to lead HSE activities towards agreed programs, plans, objectives and within guidelines as established by the NA HSE Manager, Corporate, MO and the Business Lines
