**Job Overview**:
The HSES Tech provides solutions to problems in conjunction with HSE Advisors / Supervisors and will
evaluate and select solutions from established HSES Management Systems.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.
- Serve as a resource to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for incidents.
- Provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and
company environmental, safety, and health regulations.
- Implement the HSES activity plan and ensure activities are completed as scheduled.
- Assist with incident investigations and compilation of reports.
- Assist with medical evacuations and respond to emergencies as required.
- Regularly inspect the work areas to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
- Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that
regulatory environmental, safety, and health standards of the company and all applicable codes are
followed.
- Observe work groups and provide guidance and coaching to personnel to perform work safely.
- Assist in the delivery and observation of toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses (JSA's).
- Observe the condition of plant and equipment and report deficiencies.
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:
- Diploma or equivalent certification.
- Two - three (2-3) years of relevant experience.
- Maintain key competencies associated with the HSES function.
- Have experience with technical activities, including on and offshore operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Exposure to incident investigation and analysis software preferred.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal guidance.
- Ability to use best practices and knowledge of internal / external business issues to improve
products or services in own discipline.
- Proven experience promoting teamwork, coaching, and guiding others
