We are seeking a Director of Operations to become an integral part of our dynamic team!This position is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of operations staff, manufacturing processes, procurement, quality assurance, project management, productivity, timely delivery metrics, cost control, budgeting/forecasting, and asset management. The Director will lead and cultivate a highly effective team in a fast-paced, matrixed setting, focusing on enhancing processes in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery performance, and inventory management through the implementation of best business practices such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. The role involves implementing company and factory policies across the manufacturing operations and converting them into actionable business, team, and individual objectives.This position will be reporting to VP Operations HES.A Day In The LifeOffer advice, coaching, and mentoring to team members on operational initiatives and required changes.Organize and oversee activities to meet production timelines and budget goals.Serve as a trusted business partner to the Business Unit Leadership and VP of Operations by fostering a culture of accountability and clear communication.Communicate effectively with BU management regarding status, goals, and countermeasures through detailed KPI's.Maintain high standards for environmental, health & safety, quality, and customer service.Drive operations to improve the Sales, Inventory and Operations (SIOP) discipline ensuring customer service delivery is always maximized.Maintain fiscal discipline by establishing and monitoring annual operating plans and subsequent forecasts and reviewing operating and capital expenditures.Coordinate with HR to develop succession planning strategies, ensuring leadership continuity and role fulfillment.Be a focal point of oversight and coordination with other businesses, in operations related matters, to drive consistency among the business where possible.Select and maintain qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly and supervise the hiring, development, evaluation and termination, if necessary, of all other personnel responsible for direct reports.Execute plans for additional equipment, improved processes, and facilities when required.Maintain safety programs to assure conformance to company, corporate and government requirements.Facility consolidation/efficiency, Greenfield/Brownfield modeling as needed, for cost reduction and capacity expansions.Be a leader in overall strategic planning to include production and productivity improvement activities and growth strategies for the benefit of Continental Industries.Ensure that manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements.Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.Responsible for the development and management of the annual operating budget.What will help you thrive in this role?RequirementsBachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent; MBA preferred.15 years' experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager or Director of Operations – preferably in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment in Mexico.Bi-lingual and strong multicultural experience are a must.
