.Company Description**About Avery Dennison****Job Description**:**Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible to provide HR support to the plant leadership teams and employees at the Fort Wayne site. The HR Generalist provides guidance and consultative support to business leaders and promotes positive employee relations including; delivering training; ensuring compliance; interpreting policies and procedures; proactive coaching and counseling of managers and employees; conducting investigations; and coaching for performance improvement. In addition, the HR Generalist will act as a change leader for developing and implementing new HR initiatives that support the needs of the business.****Primary Responsibilities**:- ** Drives a culture of positive employee relations**:- ** Ensures high visibility to all shifts and departments on a routine schedule and serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and questions,**- ** Counsels and advises employees and managers regarding people, policies, workforce, organization and employee issues.**- ** Proactively engages with and builds relationships with employees at all levels. Mediates employee concerns and/or complaints.**- ** Conducts thorough and complete investigations into company guideline violations, and make recommendations to management on how to resolve potential employee relations issues,**- ** Coordinates employee recognition activities and events,**- **Facilitates the selection, retention, and evaluation of a high performing, high potential workforce**:- ** Partners with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure successful selection and onboarding of top talent.**- ** Facilitates annual performance and merit review process.**- ** Coaches managers on writing and conducting effective performance reviews.**- ** Facilitates Talent Review and Succession Planning Process with site leadership teams**- ** Facilitates training on employee development, coaching and other management and leadership topics.**- ** Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
