.Descripción y detalle de las actividadesThe PositionThe Human Resource Specialist will report directly to the Director of Property Management. The HR Specialist has primary responsibility to recruit and monitor all Human Resource functions. Set up company policies, maintain updated employee records and ensure a healthy workplace by providing HR procedures.Responsibilities:Recruit, headhunting, interviews, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.Performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, disciplinary matters, disputes, terminations and investigations.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Keep and maintain all employees records; time, attendance, overtime, vacations, PTO, etc.Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Performs other duties as assigned.Candidate Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.Energetic, organized, creative, and highly motivated person with the ability to learn and work independently and collaboratively.Strong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.Strength of character and flexible style to work successfully with a range of people, from staff to executives, and from property owners to outside investors.Has the personal presence to deal effectively with these constituencies
