PLANT HUMAN RESOURCES & EHS COORDINATOR
**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Plant Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for partnering with the plant leadership team and the corporate HR team to ensure that all human resources policies and processes are properly executed and adhered to at their facility. The Plant Human Resources Manager should be dedicated to creating a safe environment where team members understand and observe Android's values.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for all HR functions within the Plant, following the Company's policies and procedures.
- Onboard new hires
- Ensure records are compliant with legal requirements and company processes and policies
- Ensure compliance to the development plans, for example training plans and performance reviews.
- Assess the team members' strengths and weaknesses, understanding the skills gaps, and recommending learning and growth opportunities, with the goal of creating a succession plan.
- Create and facilitate trainings and materials, coach and collaborate with other content creators
- Promoting the company's core values, primary objectives, and culture
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, ensuring team member retention
- Coordinate activities and communication opportunities to build and maintain team member morale
- Maintain communication flow regarding pertinent information such as company announcements and policy changes
- Encourage involvement and participation on company social media platforms
- Review and monitor team member performance evaluations.
- Maintain and coordinate team member recognition programs
- Promote a team environment and open communications (for example, town hall meetings).
- Assist with internal audit process to identify gaps in policies and procedures and implement corrective actions for any nonconformities.
- Manage and resolve worker's compensation/safety issues with plant leadership.
- Familiarity with Company policies, processes, contracts, rules, and practices
- Providing help to resolve work-related problems
- Conduct proper workplace investigations
- Ensuring the disciplinary process is followed, including documentation
- Labor contract administration and union avoidance strategies where applicable
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Understanding, supporting, and ensuring proper facilitation of Company benefit programs
- Manage timekeeping (overtime, vacation, sick leaves, etc.)
- Promote Safety as a personal value
- Comply with all federal, local, and Company policies and regulations
- Encourage preventative behaviors and manage risk avoidance through training, communication, and other measures
- Ensure proper incident/ injury reporting
- Update and track People KPI's, implementing countermeasures as required
- Assist with audit processes to identify gaps in policies and procedures and implement corrective actions for any nonconformities
- Prepare and ensure consistency of information and reports (including government required)
- When applicable, respond to unemployment claims/labor claims, attend unemployment hearings/labor hearings, etc.
- Ensure proper records and documentation
- Budget management
- All other duties as assigned
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Post graduate degree preferred
- Years of Experience: 4 Years practical experience
- English proficiency
**TRAVEL**:
- Travel Required: minimum
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:
- Understanding of HR principles
- Understanding Safety Mexican NOM's
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Familiarity with HR technological tools such as Applicant Tracking System, HRIS, and Payroll systems
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work activities and to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated use of data-based decision making and problem solving (PDCA, Pareto Charts, 8Ds, 5 Why, Budget, Forecast, Staffing, Key Performance Indicators)
- Basic knowledge of national and local employment law
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeli
