**About us**:Nomad Desk is a business process outsourcing provider, dedicated to offering customized contact center and back-office services to startups in Southern California.Starting operations in 2014 as Nomad Dwelling (a short-term vacation rental company for travelers and guests in sunny Hollywood), our mission is to support and grow our clients´ customer base by providing them with the best customer experience on the market!The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
**Employment Type**- Full-Time Work (44 hours a week)- Remote position**Schedule**- Monday to Friday 7 am to 4 pm PST (Business hours)**Responsibilities**- Guiding management on employee relations and performance management- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and create job descriptions.- Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.- Improving, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures- Implementing programs to improve the employee experience of the organization as a workplace- Handling complaints and disciplinary procedures for the company- Arranging services for employees, such as counselling services- Assisting with salary negotiations and issues with employment laws- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field required.- One year of human resource management experience- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Fluent in English (interviewing in English will be required)- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
