Objectives and responsibilities: The Senior HR Generalist role is perfect for someone who has a solid understanding of the general areas of HR and is ready to use their knowledge to build more efficient processes within the HR department. The ideal candidate will enjoy providing Generalist support in major HR areas such as onboarding, employee movement, terminations, benefits & payroll administration, yearly salary evaluations, and employee data management (audits & reporting), etc. for both our US and Mexico offices. This will be a highly visibility role collaborating with leadership and employees so this person must demonstrate great skill in interpersonal / relationship building and being a trusted partner. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be comfortable utilizing HRIS and other technology tools (AI/Excel/PM software) to help us achieve operational excellence. Duties/Responsibilities: Ownership of the employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding, including providing analysis for areas in need of evolution and reorganization (with a special focus on pre-hire onboarding and orientation). Responsible for drafting, reviewing and maintaining various employee legal documentation from hire letters, job change/promotion letters and severance and departure documentation for the company. Answer employee questions while working to evolve self-service and materials to proactively address common questions and standardize processes. Partner with Department Heads to understand strengths and areas of improvement to recommend, communicate, and implement new processes, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure continued operational excellence. Work with HR leadership to provide promotion recommendations to Department Heads to ensure they are within the appropriate benchmarks and consistent with Company policy. Work with HR leadership to summarize salaries, bonuses, and benefits and makes data driven recommendations. Manage employee termination compliance, including review and revision of severance documents, processing of unemployment claims, and proposing improvements, as needed. Partner with the Finance in budget preparations, overseeing payroll, year-end reporting activities, audits, and payroll tax matters. Manage, troubleshoot, and audit the transactional movement of all employees in HRIS systems – providing reporting as needed on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis. Responsible for data accuracy and regular audits to ensure alignment with established guidelines. Create and maintain worker type, location, and other employee matrixes illustrating differences in employer responsibilities and processes. Work with internal and external legal counsel in various compliance aspects of Human Resources, as needed. Responsible for maintaining updated employment law related postings on online databases (or in person), as necessary. Development of training content as well as delivering training on HR Ops-related content. Participate in and/or lead special projects. Other duties as assigned. Tech savvy – comfortable with HRIS, reporting, and organizational technology tools Ability to develop, analyze, and interpret data to drive systematic improvements. Proven ability to recommend scalable change in a growing organization preferred. Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations that may arise related to the enforcement of policies. Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel & SharePoint). Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Administration (HR) or business-related degree preferred. Equivocal experience and certifications will be considered. Experience working with and implementing HRIS systems that manage workforce planning, productivity, and measurement. At least 5 years of experience of progressive responsible experienced in Human Resources. Proven ability to recommend scalable change in a growing organization. Experience building strong relationships with key business partners. Experience in Start-Ups, media, ideally digital media. Experience with working in global companies. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Working Proficiency both in speaking and professional writing in Spanish & English.
