.The **Human Resources/Safety Manager** interacts with Corporate Human Resources and Plant Management to manage compliance with UGN policies and procedures to maintain equitable and consistent development and treatment of personnel. Administers and monitors policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity by performing the following duties personally or with the assistance of plant management. This position is part of our team located at our plant in **Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico**.**Responsibilities**:**Human Resources**- Recruit, interview, and select team members to fill vacant positions in the plant facility.- Plan and conduct new team member orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.- Ensure records of team member transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, are properly maintained.- Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.- Administer performance review and salary administration program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.- Prepare team member separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.- Assist Managers and Shift Coordinators with team member concerns, discipline and interpretation of company policies. Advise team members on matters affecting their employment.- Allow an open-door forum for team members to voice their questions, concerns, or complaints.- Investigate complaints regarding team member relations. Represent organization at legal hearings and investigations.- Maintain team member relations in accordance with UGN goal to remain nonunion; manage antiunion campaigns as necessary.- Perform training as required for hourly and managerial personnel.- Participate in plant communication meetings and team member involvement programs.- Directly manages Team Members in the Human Resources Department.**Safety**- Implement policies, plans and procedures required by Mexico law. Ensure safety enforcement by department managers.- Coordinate monthly Safety Committee meetings and plant safety inspections of work areas and follow-up to ensure deficiencies are corrected.- Utilize investigating procedures, medical counseling, team member communications and money management strategies to minimize lost time and worker's compensation costs.- Manage the process of keeping current all plant written safety information, plans, programs, practices, and procedures.- Maintain all documentation and accident/injury reports.- Manage the EHS Coordinator.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.- Five plus years human resource generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.- Strong employee relations/interpersonal communication skills with all levels.- Team builder with business partner mentality
