As an Image Annotation Specialist you will:- Accurately and consistently annotate or label images based on predefined guidelines, standards, or requirements.- Review and verify the correctness and quality of annotations performed by other annotators to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines.- Document and maintain detailed records of annotation processes, guidelines, or standards used, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing within the team.- Organize and maintain image datasets, ensuring proper categorization, file naming conventions, versioning, and storage to facilitate efficient retrieval and usage.- Identify and rectify any errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies in the annotations or labels, making necessary adjustments for improved data quality.- Collaborate with data scientists, researchers, or project managers to understand project requirements, address specific labeling needs, and provide feedback on data quality and improvement areas.- Utilize annotation tools and software platforms to perform image labeling tasks efficiently and effectively.- Gather and scrape relevant data from the web to supplement and expand existing image datasets.- Analyze existing datasets to assess data quality, completeness, and consistency. Identify any anomalies, errors, or gaps in the dataset and propose improvements or corrective measures. Use statistical or quantitative techniques to gain insights from the data and discover areas of opportunity for enhancing the dataset.- Collaborate with team members on developing computer vision systems starting from prototype to production.- Provide datasets to the data science team in the format required to be used in model training.**Qualifications**- Bachelor degree in CS or related field.- PhD or MS in science, engineering, math, statistics or related fields is a plus.- Strong foundation and/or courses taken in programming (3+ yrs in Python, R, or combined).- Familiarity with various image annotation techniques, such as bounding boxes, segmentation, keypoints, or polygons.- Experience in using annotation tools and software platforms commonly used in the industry, such as Labelbox, RectLabel, VGG Image Annotator (VIA), or COCO Annotator.**Job Type**: InternshipContract length: 3 monthsApplication Question(s):- Do you agree to be paid with experience only?Work Location: Remote
