Distribution beginning with the supplier of materials or components, extending through a manufacturing process to the distributor and retailer, and ultimately to the consumer. Plans and coordinates the major physical distribution and materials management activities of the business unit, including distribution, transportation, production planning and inventory planning and control; may also be responsible for customer service and ordering processes. Defines and directs the strategic supply direction needed to achieve long term operating and profit goals.
Import/Export Administration:
Manages or performs work associated with both import and export administration including:
• Managing and planning import process, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise to ensure it arrives at correct time
• Overseeing the issue of import licenses and completion of monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner
• Controlling all documentation related to the export process, ensuring necessary documentation is provided to customers to enable them to receive the products without delay
• Monitoring the preparation and dispatch of customer export orders, and planning/directing the flow of air and surface traffic to the final destination
• Ensuring compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations.
As a Logistics Coordinator at Mars, you will:
