The holder of this position is expected to notify the functional manager about issues related to import/export coordination and customs clearance of shipments and participate in the development of problem-resolving action plans. The holder of this position can be responsible for coordination of import/export activities in several countries.Responsibilities:Assures activities are appropriately fulfilled in a timely manner.Coordinates import/export shipments (including but not limited to communication with clients, brokers, customs, and completion of appropriate trackers) in a timely manner.Prepares import and export license applications (including but not limited to preparation of calculations, review of documents, and communication with the client and the Ministry of Health).Communicates with the Ministry of Health (obtaining Import and Export licenses and submission of clarification requests) and all other applicable regulatory authorities.Communicates with customs brokers and customs (including but not limited to coordination of the flow of documents and preparation of explanation letters).Prepares reports.Maintains trackers (including but not limited to KPI and dynamics tracker and IL quota).Reviews and verifies invoices received from vendors that provide services to the Import/Export department.Coordinates certification activities.Monitors regulatory requirements.Analyzes assigned cases and notifies the functional manager of identified trends, risks, and opportunities.Qualifications:Knowledge of GCP, Dangerous Goods, Cold Chain Supply and IATA legislation is desirable; Experience in import/export activities (preferably in the clinical trial industry).Experience in Logistics.Degree in Logistics / Economics / ADM / Eng, etc.Experience in medical equipment is desirable (this is not mandatory).Good verbal and written communication skills.Advanced level of spoken and written English.To be successful in the role, you will have:Benefits of Working in ICON:Our success depends on the knowledge, capabilities, and quality of our people.
