Import - Export department purpose is to deliver shipments, in the right place, at appropriate cost in compliance with applicable regulations for TLG companies in Mexico to support TLG strategy.
Current companies supported are Constructional Toys production site, molds production site, a real state company, sales company and e-commerce operations.
This position is key to secure that internal customers get the spare parts import shipment in the needed service levels and to secure compliant operations in the specific traffic & appointed customs.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- The purpose of this position is to secure Import Shipments on time delivery in compliance with applicable regulations & LEGO Group Policies, within the right cost as part of daily execution, trough effective communication with internal and external team members and functional knowledge having in mind internal customer needs. This allows the business to keep the LOM machinery and equipment with timely maintenances.
In scope are spare parts imports for LEGO Manufacturing Site in Monterrey.
- Manage the import operation with Customs Brokers, providing proper instructions to maintain operation on time and compliant with regulations and policies.

- Maintain correctly updated working systems and tools, secure correct information transfer to Mexican Customs & Customs Brokers trough adherence to processes to secure high compliance standards and Brand Protection.
- Maintain processes, user guides and applicable SOPs in place and updated to trough continuous alignment, regulations update and digital platforms to secure long term compliance (critical to maintain LOM Customs Certifications such AEO, IMMEX, PROSEC, etc.) and Safety Quality Delivery & Cost adherence.
- Manage daily effective collaboration with Customs Brokers, with transport companies by exception and local with Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, etc., to manage daily ops.
- Responsible in daily basis to identify, inform and take action upon risks until are mitigated. Escalate when is needed to the Import Manger, and Import-Export Director if needed.
- Improve proactively processes, through proposing and implementing improvement ideas though LCI processes, with a mindset of simplification, to prevent errors and at the same time maintaining or even increasing quality on deliverables.
- Maintain IMS compliance by securing consistency in processes and procedures, keeping a systematic way of working and embed in the daily operation the LCI way of working.
**Do you have what it takes?**:
- Bachelor Degree in Foreign Trade and Customs, International Commerce or similar.
- 2 years experience working in IMMEX and AEO companies in similar position. Preferable also VAT-IEPS certified companies.
- Or, 2 years experience working in Mexican Customs brokers agencies coordinating import - export shipments
- Basic knowledge of Mexican International Trade Law, Mexican Customs Law, Customs Rules, General Rules, Free Trade Agreements and benefits, AEO, CTPAT, VAT-IEPS Certification.
- Use of SAP or equivalent.
- No need for traveling.
- English fluent level
