The Compl Governance Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas.
Leads and directs a team of professionals.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.
Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions.
g commercial awareness is a necessity.
Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Some external communication may be necessary.
Accountable for the end results of an area.
Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning.
Primarily affects a sub-function.
Involved in short
- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.
Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures that roles and responsibilities set forth by the Global Regulatory Exam are properly followed in the region
- Responsible for management governance & process standards are being carried out in a consistent manner across all
- Advises/guides country exam management teams as they carry out activities such as: coordinating responses to document requests and exam response letters, providing exam updates, identifying and engaging potential issue and corrective action plan (CAP) owners and coordinating/facilitating the communication of retargeted Issue dates to the regulator.
- Acts as the central point of contact for all OCC and FRB exams in accordance with additional requirements applicable to US banking regulatory exams, and in coordination with the Regulatory Governance Unit in the US.
- Tracks potentially significant or high risk exams for escalation and reporting purposes, providing periodic updates to senior regional management, and also to enhance exam management protocols based on outcomes and lessons learned.
- Manages the timely and accurate entry of information in Regulatory Event Tracker (RET) and Integrated Corrective Action
- Plans Tracking System (iCAPS) systems, per the Regulatory Exam Tracking Governance Procedures.
- Supports systems management and development/enhancement initiatives for Citi's RET and iCAPs.
**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years experience in Compliance and Control

**Education**:

- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

**Key Functions**
- ** Identification of applicability of new regulations**:Analysis and expert judgment of new regulations and identification of impacted areas;
- ** Identification of applicability of new policies, standards and procedures**:Analysis and expert judgment of new policies, standards and procedures, and identification of impacted areas;
- ** Definition of activities and controls**:Partner with impacted business lines and functions to define / design processes and control activities;
- ** Pre-vetting of Citi policies, standards, and procedures**:Analysis of new internal rules, and challenge to global teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in Regulatory Compliance, Internal Control and/or Operational Risk (desirably PF-ICRM, ORM, IBRO or IBCO/IFCO teams background).
- Experience managing teams both with direct reporting line and non-direct reports.
- Comfortable in navigating and interacting at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to articulate complex matters in a simple manner.
- Highly skilled in process creation and implementation.
- Self-driven, creative, flexible, open to constant change and ability to quickly adapt to it.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Highly organized, able to work with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines.
- Advanced English skills (must).
