.MissionContribute to achieving Metalsa's business objectives through the efficient sourcing and procurement of cost-competitive, high quality non-stocked indirect materials and services in the quantity, form and timing required to support operational needs.Essential FunctionsSupplier Identification and DevelopmentIdentify and/or develop an optimal, rationalized ("right-sized") supply base that is stable, highly competitive and well-positioned in terms of total cost, responsiveness, quality, delivery, geographic proximity, technological capabilities and the ability to provide innovative solutions that support Metalsa's current and future supply needs.Pricing and Commercial Terms NegotiationExecute the request for quotation process for assigned indirect materials and services in accordance with user requirements. Negotiate pricing, service levels and commercial terms to drive the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while supporting operational needs and sustaining quality levels in accordance with Metalsa and customer requirements.Operational ExecutionEnsuring compliance with established Metalsa authorization levels, execute Purchase Orders and delivery agreements with selected suppliers. Conduct order follow-up activity as required, including expediting delivery, arranging invoice payment and resolving discrepancies or escalations.Supplier Performance and Relationship ManagementManage supplier relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers. Hold suppliers accountable for high performance levels and drive continuous improvement.Comply with the responsibilities and authorities of the Environmental and Quality Management System (see procedure P-GE-29 Resources Roles Responsibilities and Authority).Cost Reduction/ Quality InitiativesLead/ participate in cost reduction initiatives and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) improvement projects with suppliers and key operational stakeholders.Records and ConfidentialityDocument activity and retain historical files that are organized, accurate and accessible to designated Metalsa staff as needed, while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality within Metalsa and with the supply base.QualificationsIndustrial/ Systems/ Mechanical EngineeringInternational CommerceBusinessFluent EnglishExperienceMust have 2-5 years of Procurement (Strategic Sourcing/ Purchasing/ Supply Chain), or equivalent related experience.Experience within the automotive industry preferred.Experience managing multiple commodities preferred
