.The Indirect Procurement Specialist will work to develop and implement a strategy to ensure that our suppliers can deliver high quality, cost effective, and reliable solutions for the associated business teams. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify company requirements and provide cost competitive solutions. This position will be responsible for rolling out the S2P SAP Ariba platform.**RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Act as member of GPQ purchasing team by collaborating with OMRON global members.- Align local needs with regional and global procurement strategies- Evaluate and select preferred suppliers- Create and execute select sourcing strategies for various parts of the organizations (e.G. Consulting, Legal, HR, Travel & Entertainment, MRO, Equipment, Facility & Professional Services, Contract Labor & Training Services, Operational Services, Informational Technology Tools & Equipment, etc.)- Support spend requestors with effective, efficient, and compliant procurement transactional tools & processes- Achieve and maintain alignment with associated business teams on short and long-term strategic initiatives.- Create and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for assigned categories.- Provide business teams with industry/market knowledge within assigned categories.- Create bid packages, perform bid analysis, review findings and provide recommendations on service, quality, cost, and delivery.- Support efforts around bid implementation including the awarding, communication, and monitoring.- Negotiate terms and conditions, and agreements for the purchase of goods and services.- Lead the execution of onboarding new suppliers.- Analyze category spend, review existing processes and internal client needs, and develop and execute a sourcing plan in targeted spend areas.- Develop and execute a negotiation strategy to achieve the best price for material and services with proven, auditable metrics, which will be reported monthly- Use marketplace benchmarking to assess and understand new opportunities/solutions to be developed, remain up to date on relevant industry trends, understand capabilities of new entrants into the market, and understand category cost drivers & pricing targets- Perform advanced quantitative and business processes analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions, cost improvement, and performance for assigned categories.- Create contract documents in collaboration with the legal, supply chain, and finance teams.- Support the roll out of the SAP Ariba S2P platform.- Represent the Omron Guiding Principles through personal and business interactions with employees, suppliers, distributors, and colleagues.**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS**:**Education**: College or technical degree in supply chain management, purchasing or operations management
