The Industrial Engineer will be responsible to monitor our current operations and determine more efficient production processes. The industrial engineer's responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, reduce the waste, lean implement and ensuring that final products meet the established quality, security and ergonomic standards.
Leading process design and optimization, continuous improvement in production processes, and efficiency enhancement
Contributing to Landis+Gyr's Industrial Engineering process.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Take times and balancing the process
- Time studies
- Define a takt time, shifts needed, space and headcount to current lines and new lines
- Analize and Leadership layout movements
- SAP and financial labor routing analysis vs. process actual
- Good Computer knowledge in MS office (excel and power point)
- Leadership cost reduction projects, Kaizen and VSM
- Improve and optimization Plant layout Performs, analyzes and maintains VSM's Create Capacities and utilization analysis Standard work implementation and documentation
- Plan, execution and control of projects
- Visual control knowledge, identify opportunities
- Movements and ergonomics studies and knowledge
- Create and modify Work Instructions and Visual Aids
- Drawings Interpretation knowledge
- Lean manufacturing culture and implement to the plant, reduce the waste and 5's
- AutoCAD design
- OEE and Efficiency calculation
- Downtimes analysis
- Continuous flow and define WIP, Kanban, supermarket
- Define the authorized headcount Ishikawa and 5Whys knowledge Workstation design
- Creates and maintains technical conditions in a way that the production process does not get disrupted
- Contributes to team at startup in production through technical support and guidance
- Problem solving
- Knowledge of environmental, safery and quality regulations
- Industrial engineering experiences in MOST, MTM or similar
- Time and motion analysis in production processes
- Implement actions to reduce variation in assembly processes, increasing their efficiency
- Define and Maintain Department Metrics
- Self-motivated to the change and encourage the C to the change as well
- To work according of the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 14K, 18K, 27K, and 22301
**Required Skills**:
- High knowledge of the roles of an Industrial Engineer
- Knowledge and implementation of lean manufacturing six sigma tools
- Experience in handling AutoCAD is a must Proven analytical and critical thinking skills Communication skills at different levels
- SAP knowledge
- Leadership and proactive skills
**Required Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, industrial process engineering, production systems engineering or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Conversational English is a must
- Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus
- Experience in the manufacturing of electronic products
