As a PROJECT ENGINEER you will coordinate and monitor current and new projects within the production plan, and those for continuous improvement for our coating services business. You will report directly to the plant manager at our Querétaro site.
Main Responsibilities Be the contact with our clients' project department, and provide support in preparing quotes and solving problems.
Submit PPAP samples, and send the samples to the laboratory for approval and annual revalidations; together with the corresponding documentation.
Technical support on production lines. Rack design and validation.
Coordinate with the production department the pilot tests and "run and rate" runs of new projects.
Monitor continuous improvement projects in the plant to improve processes: preparation of visual aids, process sheets and packaging standards.
Compliance with PPG's EHS system: safety talks, risk inspections, behavioral interventions.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or industrial engineering (or similar) / University technical degree.
Minimum experience of 2 years in similar functions.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, FMEA, CoreTools (including APQP), ISO 14000, risk-based thinking, work instructions.
Desirable knowledge of coating systems.
Basic-intermediate level of English.
