TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.**What your background should look like**:Primary Duties & Responsibilities:- Reviews workflows and layouts to identify opportunities for waste reduction- Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.- Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.- Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.- Work closely with the Manufacturing leaders to integrate develop processes as part of lean manufacturing and continues improving activities- Conduct optimization studies and perform detailed engineering analysis of existing facilities, systems & process equipment.- Lead equipment improvement activities across all plants for all areas through Measurement, Analysis, Improvement and ControlRequirements and Qualifications:- A strong background in Engineering, Leans Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices- Advanced English- 1-2 years of experience related to continuous improvement practices- Methodical and Analytic oriented- Experience in achieving deadlines and commitments- A team player with strong communication & stakeholder relationship management skills- Ability to communicate findings, orally and visually, to a variety of audiences- Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing- Strong analysis and decision-making experience and ability- Proficient computer skills including AutoCAD, Excel, Word**Competencies**:Values: Integrity, Accountability,Teamwork, Innovation
