Texas Instruments is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Intern to be responsible for evaluating and supporting our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include: Maintain capacity modeling data integrity via engineering change control monitoring and frequent communication with tool owners to ensure model readinessGather the information required and to understand capacity analysis and production impactIdentify opportunities to improve cycle time and increase our capacity models' ability to support operational decision makingAssist tool owners to understand capacity impacts associated with process changesIdentify tools/moves required to support starts mix shift due to business changeProvide information for management reviews of operational performanceDetermine starts and mixes that we can support for the current time period and for the future look-ahead based on our capacity, constraints, available tools, tool performance and future process releases scheduled in our factoryProvide a list of focused toolsets for the modules to work on in the coming quarterOptimize, develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence, equipment layout, and processes in the fabrication of wafersProvide capacity analysis and cost analysis support for decision makingPerform equipment loading studies and determine methods for flow linearization and reduction in variationInterface with engineering, manufacturing, and planning to coordinate the release of new methods, flows, and processesEstimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing process flowsMaintain records and reporting systems for measurement of manufacturing operationsPerform "what-if" analysis on business changesCollect and validate data via stopwatch time studies and automation logs analysis, to analyze throughput impact of various process changesQualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related fieldRegular and active (subscribed) student at collegePreferred qualifications: Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externallyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to quickly ramp on new systems and processesDemonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryAbout UsWhy TI?
