JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Industrial Engineer Intern here at Honeywell Building Automation (BA), you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of industrial engineering within our MX31 business unit. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and drive operational efficiency.
This internship will provide you with valuable skills and knowledge in process improvement, data analysis, and project management. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work out of our MX31 location in Mexico on a full-time basis.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Analyze manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement, including line balancing and work instructions development
Collect and analyze data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including line balancing and work instructions development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production flow, including line balancing and work instructions development
Assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles, including line balancing and work instructions development
Support the execution of projects to drive operational excellence, including line balancing and work instructions development

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

YOU MUST HAVE
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
WE VALUE
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies
Familiarity with process improvement techniques (e.g., Six Sigma)
Experience with data visualization and analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab)
The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
Office intermediate - advanced level
Basic English competence
