**Job Overview**:
The Industrial Relations Specialist applies their conceptual knowledge of Industrial Relations and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Industrial Relations problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Industrial Relations Specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Confer with the Center Director to identify and develop an effective job development plan for all the skills.
- Meet with individual employees to develop individual Job Placement Game Plans (JPGP) around the first two (2) weeks of employment to create a career path and a vision toward specific employers and job opportunities within the company
- Review employees' Individual Employment Plans (IEPs), progress reports, attendance records, and competency scores to better assess employees' skills and abilities.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled Unit Team meetings to monitor employee's progress and discuss employee's barriers and obstacles during employment
- Maintain a weekly activity and results report of employees and prepares reports and other data for submission
- Maintain good organization in work areas and adheres to safety standards. Conducts regular inspections of designated work areas and equipment and reports any hazardous working conditions to their supervisor
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- 3-5 years of related work experience handling conflict resolution or employee relations investigations
- Experience working in the oil, energy, and construction industry
- Ability to give a consistent performance under various levels of demand
- Certification in HR, such as SHRM Certification, preferred
