.OverviewWe are seeking aPublic Relations Specialistfor ourMarketing TeaminMexico City, Mexico,focused on developing and building relationships and managing communication with local Media outlets/ Journalists and Garmin Influencers/Ambassadors, for the key Garmin business segments, including fitness/wellness and outdoor.
Lead media, public relations, and Influencer Marketing efforts to build awareness of Garmin's products and facilitate the best possible editorial coverage in print, broadcast and online/social media.Essential FunctionsDrive awareness of Garmin's business segment products and demonstrate their unique advantages of compelling design, superior quality, and best value to members of the media and general public.Work closely with Garmin's local Marketing Team to develop and execute advanced or complex PR strategies and programs that are aligned with the company's, including press releases, media advisories, Influencer Marketing strategies, product pitches and company statements and quotes.Maintain and grow relationships with media contacts throughout the respective industry, including facilitation of review/demo units when applicable, including managing larger, key media relationships.Present a monthly report of activities and achievements related to the scope and coverage in the Media.Day to day management of Garmin's local Influencer/Ambassador program, including evaluating/contracting potential ambassadors, developing & executing communications plans, monitoring/reporting results, product training, etc.Collaborate with Garmin's Social Media Manager and Content Creators in developing a monthly market-related content for the company's social media channels.Assist in translation and localization of corporate messaging when needed (Press Releases, Marketing/Product Memos, etc.
)Attend and represent Garmin at industry tradeshows and PR events.Manage through the corresponding tool, searches and daily reports of notes related to the brand, competition or keywords to be received via email by Garmin team members and include this information in the reports of media coverage results.Communicate a deep understanding of Garmin's product line and the competitive landscape.Budget administration for the Media & Influencer Marketing Plan according to the guidelines of Marketing management.Accept and complete projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
