.**About the Role**:**Grade Level (for internal use)**: 09**The Role**:You are an Information Designer with passion for visual storytelling. You are a data visualization expert experienced using code-based tools to analyze, clean and visualize data. You are comfortable with a variety of charts and graphic-building tools and can demonstrate a healthy portfolio of visual stories.You will work closely with News reporters, data scientists, and analysts across our global offices. Your primary responsibility will be to transform complex data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into clear and compelling visual stories. You will collaborate with analysts to identify relevant stories and lead the design of data visualizations and other graphics to communicate insights.Our information design function is essential to ensure that the Commodity Insights content is well understood and resonates with our target audience, which includes policymakers, regulators, professionals, investors, and key stakeholders in the Commodities industry.**The Team**:The Information Designer is an integral part of the CI Content Design Team, a Global Multidisciplinary team producing thousands of graphics a year across 100s of different publications and multi-channel platforms.This is a key function in the Commodity Insights business. You will participate directly in visual story telling published through a variety of delivery channels and periodical publications.As an integral part of the team you will be challenged on a daily basis to use the full force of your creativity. Your work will have high visibility throughout the organization and to our customers in global commodity markets.**Responsibilities and Impact**:Proactively collaborate with content editors to shape complex information into dynamic visual storytelling piecesUse technology, code, and online design tools to design and produce compelling data visualizations, infographics and maps (interactive and print)Collaborate to execute data visualization work including charts, graphs, tables, maps, and infographics to interpret news analysis.Define project requirements, generate work plans, create and manage design templates, refine assets, and ensure clear communication to keep projects on track.Support online communications including static data visualizations, interactive graphics, data research, publication layout, web development, and content management.Conduct quality assurance and review to ensure accuracy, usability, and adherence to guidelines.Time management and good time management are just as critical as a keen eye for design, data and software skills.**What We're Looking For**:A strong affinity for numbers and quantitative data, with the ability to communicate design choices clearly.Outstanding organizational, project management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work flexibly and with a solutions-oriented approach to manage multiple deliverables on tight deadlines
