**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Design, implement and maintain quality system within the manufacturing environment
- Prepare Production Part Approvals (PPAPs) on new and existing products
- Develop, update, and maintain control plans, PFEMAs, Process Flow diagrams and other quality/manufacturing documentation
- Address external/internal quality issues including containment and disposition of suspect and nonconforming products and communicate issues to the customer and internal functions
- Conduct root cause analyses and implements corrective and preventive actions for nonconforming products and processes (8D)
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
- Communicate directly with customers on APQP, PPAP, and quality issues
- Conduct process capability and performance studies
- Develop gauge/fixture requirements and assist in gauge/fixture calibration and maintenance.
- Evaluate parts and processes for continuous improvement of production operations
- Perform dimensional layouts
- Interface with Engineering and operations to ensure transfer to Production of new product is in accordance with approved data
- Support Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
- Evaluate process capability and sampling plans, communicate effective quality performance metrics, and lead associates to effectively perform required testing and report quality data
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions
- Work closely with customers, vendors and internal staff to monitor and address quality issues with proper problem solving methods
- Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Initiate supplier corrective actions to address supplier non-conformances and perform containment
- Review and approve supplier documentation on new and revised purchased components
- Maintenance and updating of all aspects of Quality System
- Perform other quality related duties as required
