**Education**:Engineering or Bachelor's Degree.
**Experience Level**:2 years of experience in new product development in the automotive industry.
**Language**:Intermediate/advanced English.
Specific Knowledge:
- Polymers and elastomers
- Customer Specific Requirements according to IATF 16949
- APQP, PPAP, AMEF, control plan
- Mechanical design
- Geometric tolerances
- Handling of customer portals such as COVISINT and similar.
**Specific Functions**:
- Comply responsibly and on time with each milestone of the programs assigned to him/her.
- Perform APQP planning for new projects, engineering changes and transfers assigned to it.
- Define a work team, involving the areas of Quality, Production, Processes, Materials and Maintenance to follow up the APQP.
- Generate, update and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to meet each of the deliverables required by the CLAUS and manage the evidence of each deliverable using ENTERPROJECT.
- Review of assignments in the PLM system for approval of drawing changes either for new product
- integration or engineering changes to current products.
- Participate the 3P (plant, product and process) workshops in time to meet G2.G3 and G5 launch gates.
- Review customer drawings, as well as the specifications of each product to be produced, knowing all the requirements of each customer's product.
- Coordinate the use of best practices for extrusion and finishing for each new part number within the new programs for which he/she is responsible.
- Develop or administer specifications for production of new part numbers and their components, accessories and raw materials.
- Know the geometric tolerance requirements of each product.
- Participate in the selection process of machinery and equipment for the development of new part numbers, engineering changes or improvement of existing ones.
- Participate in the selection process of the scantlings required in the process.
- Maintain the history of modifications to the customer's part number.
