In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will BeSME for all tooling within the MTY plant that is responsible for the concept and design of all tooling in the MTY facility that includes, but is not limited to: drills, reamers, shell cutters, jigs & fixtures, and production tools: die cast molds, injection molds, and casting tools.Conduct design reviews to ensure tool design meets customer and plant expectations.Primary contact with outside suppliers on contracted new tool builds.Provide production support when required.Perform and control all updates and revisions to tool plans.Provide technical support to Tool crib regarding cutting tools.Participate in security kaizen.Support to the maintenance area in manufacturing and/or repair of damaged parts.Assembly and adjustment of tools when required.Support to any area of the plant in repairs or manufacturing.Carry out tool tests to improve the process.Exercise and promote the 5's+1 in the area.Follow-up on corrective actions derived from 5s audits.Quality control and evaluation of tools.Who You AreMakes sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information.Is effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.Persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.Readily takes action on challenges, without unnecessary planning.For this role, You Will NeedBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.5-8 years direct experience in tool design and manufacturing.SolidWorks 3D design knowledge and capability.Knowledge: CNC and Transfer Machining, Metal Mechanical Manufacturing, Conventional Machines, fixtures and jaws.Critical thinking skills a must.Preferred Qualifications That Set You ApartTransfer machines or CNC.Our Offer to YouSuperior benefits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
