We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our QHSE team. Based in Durango
- Mexico.
Main responsibilities:
- Supervise production areas In-Process Inspection and Finished Product
- Inspect the cable and raw material according to the inspection and test methods defined in the control plan
- Release the cable that meets the specifications defined in the quality instructions.
- Notify the owner operator to correct the process when the cable does not meet the defined specifications.
- Ensure that nonconforming material is labeled, segregated, and disposed of according to procedures.
- Respect and comply with the safety rules, as well as the internal work regulations throughout the plant.
- Keep work area clean and tidy according to the 6 S's program established for the company.
- Maintain and carry out rework activities and procedures when necessary.
- Ensure that all measuring instruments are calibrated.
- Verify the inspections of the first production piece.
- Participate in R&R dimension studies.
- Responsible for actively participating in the development and performance of the SGSSyA and Quality System
Who are we looking for?
- This position requires a High School level.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing processes of at least 6 months.
- Knowledge of Mathematics and concepts of basic statistics.
- Requires ability to use computer programs and the ability to create and use information in databases.
- Teamwork with interdisciplinary departments
- Actively explore and understand customer needs
- Always acts as a role model, ensuring the integrity and delivering on promises.
- Acuity to establish an appropriate line of action in solving problems, getting involved or taking part in a specific matter or personal task.
- Ability to persevere with an issue or problem until it is resolved or until the goal is not reasonably achievable.
- Firm maintenance of character in the face of accumulation of tasks or responsibilities, which translates into controlled responses to excessive loads.
- Sitting in front of the computer for long periods of time Availability to roll shifts in one-week cycles Visual acuity to detect defective material Visual acuity to distinguish colors Ability to lift up to 45 kg. Ability to stoop, kneel, and climb
